Customers banking with Guarantee Trust Bank (GTB) have registered their dissatisfaction with the management of the bank for sending erroneous notification transactions to them in the evening of 30th July, 2018.

It could be recalled that there was a mad rush across the various outlets of GTBank customers queued to check their transaction balance after previous transactions were sent to them as part of their respective account balance.

Another SMS notification application, however, was sent by the management which explained that the notification application has recently been upgraded and that customers may receive notifications for earlier transactions. “We apologize for the inconvenience and be assured that your account balance remains the same,” The notification explains.

Fatmata Sesay, who is customer of the bank for over five years, lamented the inconvenience she went through as a result of the erroneous notification transactions caused by the bank.
