UNDP & PRISONS COLLABORATE TO FIGHT EBOLA
The Prisons Public Relation Officer, ASP Mohamed Jimmy, in a snap interview with the Spectator at his New England Ville Office revealed the United Nations Development Programmed has collaborated with the Sierra Leone Prisons in the creation of an observation unit at the Special Court distention facility for inmates facing police charges.
He said the Sierra Leone Prisons has set up an Ebola Committee headed by Doctor Huballah in all 17 prisons for inmates facing police charges.
That a money totaling ten million from the prisons Welfare Fund has been donated to Government in the fight against Ebola.
ASP Jimmy congratulates the Ministry of Health and Sanitations for donating 35 thermometers, buckets and Chorine to the prisons department, which also has been distributed to all 17 prisons centers nationwide.
