VP Juldeh Jalloh Lectures Kono indigenes on Indiscipline

Hon. Vice President Dr. Mohamed Juldeh Jalloh on Tuesday October 30th 2018 lectured the people of Kono District on the negative effect of indiscipline.

Speaking at the meeting which was held at the Sierra Leone People’s Party office on Kainkordu Road, Koidu City, Kono District, the Hon. Vice President thanked the attendants for leaving their busy schedules to attend the meeting within a short notice; adding that, the message he is about to deliver is not only for the members of the SLPP but for the people of the entire Kono District.

Fighting indiscipline, the Vice President said, is among the three core promises that the President pledged to fight against and for His Excellency and the ‘New Direction’ government to succeed in this direction, the support of every Sierra Leonean is keen.

Vice President Dr. Juldeh Jalloh said, it only takes discipline to achieve the dreams of the ‘New Direction’ government and that indiscipline has been the main incitement of destabilizing the development of this nation.

He said the President, His Excellency Julius Maada Bio, had guaranteed the people of this nation a new direction for Sierra Leone to be a united, peaceful, progressive, dynamic, confident, enterprising and happy nation, where the people will enjoy unlimited access to jobs, food, education and health services and where there is equal justice and equal opportunity for all.

Outlining some of the deliverable promises of the ‘New Direction,’ VP Jalloh said, when they took up the mantle of leadership of this nation, their utmost priority was to commence the  Free Quality Education and that of the successful 2018 Hajj of which Kono is a beneficiary.

 He went on to outline some other benefits that the district will benefit; this he said ranged from a Science University, supply of pipe bourn water to a training centre amongst other.

To ensure the implementation and sustainability of all these facilities, Dr. Juldeh Jalloh asked the people of Kono District to work together as one family and to ensure that there is peace, security and stability in the district. He assured that no individual /s will stall the development plans of His Excellency for Kono District.

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Hon. Edward Soluku reiterated His Excellency statement on indiscipline. Indiscipline, he said, has no place in the fabrics of the New Direction’ governance system.

He said during the inauguration ceremony of His Excellency, the President promised the people of Sierra Leone and the entire world that he is going to fight against three terrible bugs, indiscipline, rampant corruption and poverty.

As the Minister responsible for the internal affairs of the country, Hon. Soluku said, he was in Kono to reiterate to the people that, irrespective of their political party affiliations, His Excellency has no room for indiscipline. He called on the people of Kono  to be ambassadors in the fight to eradicate indiscipline, rampant corruption and poverty  that the President has pronounced, and become pacesetters of discipline and honesty  in order to make Sierra Leone a wealthy nation and a better place for the present and future generations.

 Kono, he said, is at the heart of President Julius Maada Bio’s development agenda. He warned that anyone found guilty of indiscipline will face the full penalty of the law.

The meeting was highly attended by stakeholders of the district and the general public.

Meanwhile, on his way to Kono, the Hon. Vice President stopped over at the  Mathora Government Secondary School for Girls, in Magburaka to inspect progress made so far in the rehabilitation of the school and boarding home. He was taken on a conducted tour of the school by the Principal of Mathora Government Secondary School.
