There seems to be a deadlock in the Kenema District Council over the transfer of the Chief Administrator, Tamba Musa, and the Finance Officer, Patrick Kamara.

Both senior officials have long been ordered by the Council Chairman, Dr. Senesie Mansaray and the Councillors to leave the Council as they were no longer prepared to work with them.

Sometime ago, the Councillors under the instruction of the Chairman closed down the offices of the CA and the Finance Officer with giant padlocks, preventing them from entering there on one fateful Monday morning.

The erstwhile Chairman of Bonthe District Council, Moses Jude Probyn, has now become the errand boy delivering official letters for the seemingly aggrieved and defiant Chief Administrator of the Council, Mustapha Koroma, who is said to be at daggers drawn with the current Chairperson of the Council, Mrs. Rita Ngardie Savage.

In fact, the CA is just returning from a three-month suspension for insubordination when he wrote defiant letters to Mrs. Savage, who has made it abundantly clear that she is not prepared to continue working with the CA.

The Member of Parliament for constituency 79 in the Bonthe District, Honorable Brima Conteh, seems to be a very miserly man that does not tolerate cheating. Parrot was recently riding Brima Conteh’s Toyota 4 Runner jeep saw and heard him engaging in a very bitter and prolonged palaver with his driver for the paltry sum of one thousand Leones. Here goes the rest of the story:

Payment of risk allowances to Ebola workers in Kenema and Bo is reported to have ended up in chaos as many of the workers protested for not receiving their October risk allowances while the few that were fortunate to be paid complained that their allowances were drastically reduced.

The payment exercise in Kenema was in a mess as dozens of Ebola workers of the Government Hospital had their names omitted from the list prepared by the hospital management and presented to the pay team of the National Ebola Response Centre (NERC).
