Concerned Sierra Leoneans have called for the immediate closure of the Chinese laboratories at Jui on the outskirts of Freetown and cases of Ebola not to be referred to the Chinese hospital.

Following the announcement of the death of Dr. Martin Maada Salia in Nebraska, USA, on Monday, most people we interviewed alleged that the false negative from the Chinese Hospital at Jui led to delay in the youngest Sierra Leonean surgeon specialist’s diagnosis of Ebola.

Mrs. Mao Xuehong, wife of the Chinese Ambassador to Sierra Leone, on Monday presented Le 80 million to the First Lady Sia Nyama Koroma for the provision of food to Ebola affected families and health workers.

Madam Mao stated that Ebola is still rampant in Sierra Leone, and that the country is facing daunting challenges in containing the deadly disease.
