~~The Bo Correctional Centre, formerly Bo Prison, is reported to be stranded for water as there is no pipe-borne water to serve the ever growing number of inmates who are said to be living in congested cells.
Our thorough investigation reveals that every afternoon, a group of prisoners called Water Party, escorted by prison guards, go out of the prison to fetch water at Kortugbuma and other areas, a situation which many Bo residents have described as risky as daring prisoners may use the opportunity to make a clean escape.

Save the Children International in collaboration with other non-governmental organizations under the Water Sanitation and Health (WASH) consortium, has enhanced the construction of toilets and water facilities in one of Freetown’s slum areas.

The project is part of WASH’s efforts in ensuring proper hygienic practice in slum areas, especially Gray Bush, where incidences related to improper hygiene have been the order of the day.

The youthful Director of Sierra Leone Water Company (SALWACO) Samuel Bangura has recently said in Freetown that his priority in the water transformation process in the country is to restructure the WASH sector.

The erudite Director disclosed that institutions in the WASH sector are undergoing massive transformation as encompassed in the National Water and Sanitation Policy.

The Administrative officer of the Kenema shopping Plaza (Kambui plaza) Mr. Luke Tucker has informed the general populace in the Eastern Region about the management system of the shopping plaza.

In an interview with the SLBC in Kenema, Mr. Tucker revealed that the management of the Kambui plaza is doing their best to satisfy their numerous customers to the best of their satisfaction but having some bottlenecks alongside.
